Belgium - Brussels Region has also already fixed its national application of the nearly-zero energy building definition.

It can be found in the law, in the decree of 5th May 2011. The requirements are in articles 4 and 5 on page 3. On the following pages, you will find in appendix the methodology.

You may notice that the methodology values biomass, solar thermal, photovoltaic, heat pumps and cooling geothermal piles. Thanks to our Belgian colleague for informing on the status and sending the documents.
