I'm Nicola Mela and I'm employed for P3 srl a company that deals with the production of PU sandwich panels for the realization of pre-insulated ductworks for HVAC systems.

My question concerns the possibility of looking for specific requirements about thermal insulation performances/thickness for ductworks in air-conditioning sector, in the european national regulations.

Since EPBD doesn't contain mandatory requirements about this issue, we have however experience that many national regulations ask for specific levels of insulation thickness; for example:

- ITALY -- DPR 412, 1993 " Regolamento recante norme per la progettazione, l'installazione, l'esercizio e la manutenzione degli impianti termici degli edifici ai fini del contenimento dei consumi di energia, in attuazione dell'art. 4, comma 4, della legge 9 gennaio 1991, n. 10" in the Table 1 you can find the minimum insulation thickness required according to the different conditions;

- SPAIN -- Real Decreto 1027/2007 "Reglamento de Instalaciones Termicas en lo Edificios (RITE)", at point IT 1.2.4.2.2 Aislamiento térmico de redes de conductos you can find similar requirements;

- ENGLAND & WALES -- "The TIMSA Guide" Table 6.2.4 Insulation for warm ducts and Table 6.2.5 Insulation for chilled and dual purpose ducts;

- IRELAND & SCOTLAND -- "BS 5422:2001" same requiremnts at Table 10 and 11.

So finally, I'd like to know if in the other european countries exist similar regulations and where I can collect more info about this issue.

Does even EPBD have the idea to implement similar requirements--
