In 2008, under the program PREBAT "100 exemplary buildings", the town of Saint Martin de Queyrières decided to create a school for six classes (from cycle 1 to Cycle 3) with restaurant and school activity room.
This building, while being integrated into the landscape, is characterized by its real consideration of sustainability issues: bioclimatic design, mineral a,d wood wool insulation, cellulose wadding projected, green roof, shading topped with photovoltaic panels, solar thermal, wood boiler, rainwater tank and small "organic garden" for children, educational purposes.
The project also obtains the"Wood construction Trophy" in 2011. For the structure, materials used were the elements of mountain : stone and wood. The dialogue of these two materials, with a clearly identifiable writing contemporary architecture, maintains a reference to the surrounding heritage of this building and made a remarkable construction.

School groups:
1 nursery school unit with two classrooms and a workshop, lounge, library, daycare, changing rooms in the corridors
1 primary school unit divided into two main buildings totaling four classrooms and two workshops, toilets, ;
1 administration / management unit : restoration: conference room, office records, management, activity room, two cupboards, dining room, kitchen preparation.
Cutural centre : an activity rooms, rest room, toilets and changing rooms, office, reception area and storage space.
