2nd EU FP6 Ecobuildings Symposium - Towards an energy efficient European building stock beyond national requirements - Stuttgart April 2008

This document contains the Proceedings of the 2nd EU FP6 Ecobuildings Symposium in Stuttgart, Germany in April 2008. The collection includes 21 papers of the following sections: keynotes, ecobuildings in progress, tools for supporting ecobuildings, educate the actors. These papers mainly result from 4 Ecobuildings European projects (BRITA in PuBs, Demohouse, Eco-Culture, SARA) within the 6th Framework Programme, dealing with the improvement of the energy performance of buildings at a large scale, transfer of scientific knowledge into standards and industrial codes and bringing into practice results of socioeconomic research on integrated planning and behaviour of users. All projects go beyond the requirements of existing legislation and thus contribute to a further development of regulatory issues. The Symposium gave a contribution to this movement towards an energy efficient European building stock, which has to be continued by all the relevant players.
