The CO2 building report was written by order of the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs. It presents the significance of the building sector to the energy consumption in Germany and shows what kind of obstacles exist for the population to energy efficient heating in residential buildings. It informs on the actual status of building retrofit and introduces szenarios to predict future developments of the energy consumption and CO2 emissions
