Join DG Environment and the World Green Building Council to learn all about Level(s), the new voluntary reporting framework aimed at improving the sustainability of buildings. Using existing standards, Level(s) provides a common EU approach to the assessment of environmental performance in the built environment. As the Commission embarks on a two-year testing phase for Level(s), this webinar aims to introduce Level(s) to a wider audience.

New integrated methodology and Tools for Retrofit design towards a next generation of ENergy efficient and sustainable buildings and Districts
NewTREND, a Horizon 2020 project, seeks to improve the energy efficiency of the existing European building stock and the current renovation rate by developing a new participatory integrated design methodology targeted to the energy retrofit of buildings and neighbourhoods, establishing energy performance as a key component of refurbishments.

Collaborative Holistic Design Laboratory and Methodology for Energy-Efficient Embedded Buildings
The eeEmbedded project aims to develop an open BIM-based holistic collaborative design and simulation platform, a related holistic design methodology, an energy system information model and an integrated information management framework for designing energy-efficient buildings and their optimal energetic embedding in the neighbourhood of surrounding buildings and energy systems.

This course, which will be realised from 6 to 14 November 2017 in Darmstadt, Germany, is aimed at all building professionals, including architects, engineers, contractors and builders, who are interested in training in the field of energy-efficient & cost-optimal buildings designing. During the course, they will learn from experts at the Passive House Institute, everything from how to define the thermal envelope to how to overcome frequent planning and construction challenges. The course consists of a 3-day e-learning module and 7 days of in-class training.
