Green Energy Investment in West Region Romania

The project envisages the construction of a business support structure, dedicated to hosting companies specialized in the production of specific equipments used in alternative energy production. The new business support infrastructure will be focused on research and microproduction activities development, research in the development of new models and prototypes, on offering the facilities required for the development of productive business enterprises, or developing new businesses by providing specialized services.

EIB supports green energy in Bristol

Plans to establish a citywide energy services company to spearhead renewable energy and energy efficiency projects worth up to £140 million and helping to create up 1,000 jobs were launched. The ELENA technical assistance facility has been established by the European Commission and the European Investment Bank and is financed through the Intelligent Energy-Europe programme (IEE II). Building Bridges with China in the Energy Field: GREEN ENERGY FOR SMART CITIES at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai

On 5 July, at the 'EU-China Smart City Forum', Günther H. Oettinger, EU Commissioner for Energy will deliver a keynote speech on ‘EU and China: together for better cities and for better lives’ making an explicit reference to the overall theme of the World Expo 2010. DG ENER will present its ‘Covenant of Mayors’ initiative. From their side, Chinese government will explain their achievements and projects for energy successful urban initiatives.
