Between November 2017 and January 2018 we carried our research into the provision and selection of privately rented student housing across the seven SAVES 2 countries - Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, Romania and the UK. Recently this analysis of current trends in the rental accommodation market for students was made public and we can now provide some insights.

Europe is the most urbanised continent outside of the Americas, with 73% of the current population living in urban environments; this is expected to rise to 80% by 2050. The largest challenge for the vast majority of European cities is their capacity to adapt to the evolving needs of the inhabitants who face scarcity of housing with the resultant increase in cost of living.

The project SECURE (Smarter Energy Communities in Northern & Arctic Regions) aims to foster energy-secure communities through the promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions.
It will achieve this by transferring and implementing innovative energy solutions for housing and public infrastructures in seven regions across the Northern Periphery and Arctic programme area.
Stakeholders will study effective technologies and good practice approaches that promote the increased use of energy efficiency and renewable energy resources.

This event, organised by the Association of European Gypsum Industries (Eurogypsum), will take place on 27 September 2017 from 9am to 1pm in Brussels, Belgium.
