Last BUILD UP webinar counted on the participation of the EU-funded projects dealing with energy users engagement to improve energy performances in buildings.   Although many people are concerned about the environment, this does not always translate into taking practical steps to reduce domestic energy consumption.

The energy renovation of existing buildings represents a key component of the “Energiewende” (energy revolution). The building envelope and the system technology used within the building itself form a single unit. Prior to a building renovation project, these two aspects should thus in principle be analysed together. Within this publication, however, only the building shell is to be addressed, with a focus being placed on thermal insulation.

Die Gebäudehülle und die Anlagentechnik, die im Gebäude eingesetzt wird, bilden eine Einheit und sollten vor einer Gebäudesanierung grundsätzlich gemeinsam analysiert werden. In dieser Publikation soll dennoch nur die Gebäudehülle behandelt werden, der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Wärmedämmung. Die Autoren nehmen zu den häufigsten Einwänden, Vorurteilen und Missverständnissen zum baulichen Wärmeschutz und dem Einsatz von Dämmstoffen Stellung.
