Zagreb’s Upper Town is known for its narrow streets, tourist attractions and hidden courtyards of buildings built in the 19th century. Right next to the world’s shortest funicular (66 m), in the Upper Town, is a residential building built in 1850 with an apartment on the first floor that uses an air-to-water heat pump.

The building is located on the northern part of Square Arnstadt. The "gateway" ecostructure brings together 5 public premises (ERPs) (Nursery, Early Childhood Centre, Parent-Child Reception Center, Ricochet Social Center and the Municipal Postal Agency) and forges links between inhabitants, age groups, uses, nature and buildings, neighboring EPA... Located on the northern part of Square Arnstadt, it offers great freedom of use through generous open spaces, through and framed views of the park.

In collaboration with CITB and TFL, the construction school provides the opportunity for people to be sponsored through practical education and training. Worldwide, there is an increasing number of publications related to air cleaning and there is an increasing sale of gas phase air cleaning products. This puts a demand for verifying the influence of using air cleaning on indoor air quality, comfort, well-being and health. It is thus important to learn whether air cleaning can supplement ventilation with respect to improving air quality i.e. whether it can partly substitute the ventilation rates required by standards.
