This article is part of REHVA´s Journal 02/2022. These principles of ventilation design are based on the results of an EU project “HealthVent”. Tentative guidelines were published in the REHVA Journal 2/2021, page 10 in an article by Pawel Wargocki. It was further developed by experts of the Nordic Ventilation Group and edited by Pawel Wargocki and Olli Seppänen.

Renovation wave: ETICS for Energy Efficiency! This is the motto of EAE's this year's high-level ETICS conference – back on stage! The 6th European ETICS Forum 2022 will take place on Thursday, 19 May 2022 in Prague/Czech Republic (08:30 – 16:30 CEST). The one-day-conference will be held live in OREA Hotel Pyramida. It is located in Prague’s Strahov district, just a few minutes’ walk from the Strahov Monastery, Loreta, Prague Castle, and Lesser Town.

An increase in the severity and duration of heatwaves is expected, resulting in more severe overheating risks, affecting on their turn the health and mortality of building users. To achieve more future-proof buildings, it is crucial to design buildings that are “resilient” to overheating in future climate conditions.

The internal air quality self-assessment tool has been developed within the QAES project ("Air Quality in School Buildings", ID n.613474, Cooperation program V-A Interreg ITALY-SWITZERLAND 2014-2020) by researchers from Eurac Research in collaboration with project´s partners.

The European Heat Pump Association has identified skills development and demands as being critical within the EU market if the target of more than 2 million heat pump (HP) installations per annum by 2024 is to be achieved. The HP market is predicted to double by 2023 across Europe, in Ireland alone, the National Climate Action Plan predicted 600,000 HPs to be installed by 2030. The majority of these installations will be designed for and installed in residential or non-residential buildings.
