Tracking progress in the delivery on the right to energy services for all is crucial for making Europe’s energy transition a just transition. The European Energy Poverty Index (EEPI) allows, for the first time, assessing progress made by Member States in alleviating both transport energy poverty, domestic energy poverty and their nexus.

The Oxygen Office Building project, ideally located in the city of Brussels between the Royal Park and the Squares District, and between the Arts-Loi and Maelbeek metro stations, aimed the construction of a new low footprint office building replacing one that had become obsolete.   Thanks to a staggering of the roofs, the new building joins the different reference heights of neighboring buildings. The roof also serves of support for a green roof as well as for a high yield photovoltaic production (112m² - 22.5 kWp).

Renewable Energy forms one of the pillars for delivering global sustainable environment and the commitment to climate change targets. The renewable energy industry has matured, with huge investments being ploughed into it globally. Global new investment in renewable energy (excluding large hydro-electric projects) was around US$241.6 billion in 2016, with over 138.5GW of added renewable power capacity worldwide. This capacity is equivalent to 55% of all the generating capacity and was approximately double that in fossil fuel generation in 2016.
