Boosting investments on sustainable building renovation is vital for achieving a clean energy transition in Europe. This is particularly true as buildings are responsible for 40% of European primary energy consumption and 36% of CO₂ emissions. The problem is: there is no easy way for cities to access financing, including from the EU.
CUTYnvest final conference, which will take on 4-5 December 2017 in Brussels, Belgium, aims to raise awareness on potential barriers and success factors and present a set of policy recommendations.
The conference will sum up useful information on innovative financing models for energy efficiency building renovations. There will also be interactive roundtables where attendees can exchange and learn about the implementation of CITYnvest projects.
