The Energy Union Framework Strategy includes energy efficiency as one of its five dimensions and states it is to be considered as an energy source in its own right. The ambitious Paris climate agreement also underlines the importance of energy efficiency. To realise its full potential, public funds will not suffice and private financing will have to be unlocked on a large scale.
This webinar, which will take place on 26 September 2017 (11:00-12:30 CET), is organised by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) in partnership with the UN Environment Finance Initiative, and will discuss the use of energy efficient mortgages in Europe.
The discussion will open with an introduction by Timothée Noel (tbc) from the European Commission (DG Energy), which will be followed by in-depth presentations from Luca Bertalot (European Mortgage Federation), Ursula Hartenberger and Zsolt Toth (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), Joop Hessels (ABN-AMRO) and Bodo Winkler (Berlin Hyp).
The webinar will be of particular interest to banks, investors, building owners and asset managers.
This event is organised as part of the Sustainable Energy Investment Forums contract, funded by the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Union.
Registration deadline: 22 September 2017.
