ECOS 2011 will be the 24th International Conference on Efficiency, Cost, Optimization, Simulation and Environmental Impact of Energy Systems. It has received about 400 abstracts already, and due to some server and communications difficulties we extended the abstract submission deadline to 3 January 2011. The main topic of the conference is the International and regional cooperation for sustainable development of energy systems: Needs, methodologies, technologies, accomplishments, plans, and potential. An important area of emphasis would be the rapidly developing region of South-Eastern Europe.
