QualiBuild is running training programmes for trainers and for construction workers.
The Train the Trainers programme has been developed, and validated to address the knowledge gap that exists in relation to low-energy buildings. The aim of this Certificate in Training in Low Energy Buildings is to up-skill trainers of construction related craft apprenticeship in low energy building technology and standards and the delivery of training on the fundamental principles of this subject area to construction workers. This will equip such trainers to train new and exist building construction workers on low energy buildings and contribute to Ireland meeting relevant energy targets in relation to sustainable buildings.
The Foundation Energy Skills Programme applies to building construction workers. In brief, the course is intended to provide know how and practical information for building construction workers with the intention of improving their skills and awareness of Quality, Energy Efficiency, Best Practice and System Thinking. The course is for ALL Building Construction Workers and will provide a Single Subject Certificate in Introduction to Low Energy Buildings. The programme will be delivered through a mix of workshops, site visits and other activities with a total commitment of 3 days for participants.
