  The Energy Efficient Home program entails at “attractive” and sustainable financial mechanism aimed at implementing household energy efficiency measures. The Ministry of Economy has secured EUR 120,000 to subsidize interest rates and fees charged by banks when processing applications for loans to finance the purchase and installation of heating systems using modern types of biomass (pellets, briquettes), thermal insulation, and energy efficient windows and doors.

In April last year, the City of Ljubljana agreed a public-private partnership (PPP) with a consortium of GGE and Petrol for the energy retrofitting of public buildings in the municipality. The EUR 14.9 million project will deliver energy savings of 8,245 MWh annually and a reduction of 2,956 tons of CO2 emissions each year.

Consolidated texts are intended for use as documentation tools and have no legal value. For legal purposes please refer to the texts published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ).

To underline its leadership, the Commission presented a comprehensive set of 10 transformative initiatives, the Action Plan for the Planet, at the inaugural One Planet Summit in Paris last December. In New York today, Vice-Presidents Maroš Šefčovič and Valdis Dombrovskis and Commissioner Neven Mimica will update Heads of State and Government, businesses leaders and civil society on the main achievements to date under these initiatives in support of climate action.
