Essential skills and innovative solutions for a fair energy transition - An initiative of Housing Europe as part of the PROF/TRAC project.    Achieving a clean energy transition in the housing sector is a hard nut to crack. Any viable strategy must aim to scale-up approaches that have already been tried and tested and not rely on targets alone. When it comes to actual practices that work on the ground, under the right conditions, public, cooperative and social housing providers are the ones that have taken the lead in getting the job done.

BUILD UP and BUILD UP Skills join efforts in sharing knowledge of energy efficiency in buildings   In the ongoing effort to promote knowledge exchange among peers, BUILD UP and BUILD UP skills project are delighted to announce their merger.   The objective is to combine the content and practical expertise of both initiatives into a single platform to offer additional training and skills to European stakeholders in energy efficiency.

This report sets out to harvest the results of the 9th BUILD UP Skills EU Exchange Meeting which took place on 6 and 7 December 2016 at the Crowne Plaza in Athens, Greece.   A total of 60 participants attended the two-day event including 53 BUILD UP Skills project coordinators representing finalised Pillar I projects, ongoing and finalised Pillar II projects as well as H2020 Construction Skills projects.

This report presents the evaluation of the BUILD UP Skills Initiative Pillar I (elaboration of national roadmaps for blue collar construction skills) and identifies a methodology for the evaluation of the BUILD UP Skills Pillar II projects (which put the roadmaps into action). The report was commissioned by the European Commission's Executive Agency for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (EASME) under the Framework Contract SRD MOVE/ENER/ SRD.1/2012-409, Lot 3, Technical Assistance in the Field of Energy.
