It will take place on June 21th, 2012 from 8.30 to 10.30 am at CSTB officies in Paris. Many tools are used for design and optimization of a building. Today tools for Building Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) assessment are highlighting the contribution of construction systems to Eco design. These tools are in the early stage  but mature enough to be tested as decision making tools: purchase of materials, buildings design, even at an upper scale the development of a neighborhood.- How to integrate these tools in an operational way in the projects?

         Energy Efficiency in the BuildignSector: a Sustainable Future EnEf is a two year project aiming to improve energy efficiency in buildings, by alleviating the lack of knowledge of entrepreneurs and managers of the building industry. Specific objective will be to set up new methodologies and build up training modules in European standards concerning energy efficiency in buildings.

The SEE-GREEN project is also aimed at senior citizens that are owners or renters as well as managers of senior residences, wishing to save energy and to make their home environment more energy efficient. The project intends to alleviate the lack of knowledge of senior citizens concerning measures and changes that they can bring to make their buildings more energy efficient, being their own homes or their residences, or social clubs.

If in the previous years, the RoGBC Green Awards was usually just a section in a more general real estate awards, this time based on the interest we received and the uprising trend of the green construction in Romania we decided to organize it separately. It was a great decision since this year's contest saw an increase in the number of award submissions and a very impressive list of projects, company initiatives, and education institution activity.
