Schneider Electric, an international group specialized in energy management and automation, occupies several sites in Grenoble. The city is the historic headquarters of the company, which employs 5,000 people on 12 sites. Wanting to bring its staff together and improve cooperation, Schneider Electric has launched a two-building project with ambitious energy performance goals.

The conference was jointly organized by China Healthy Building Alliance, China Academy of Building Research, Chinese Society for Urban Studies, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, School of Architecture in Tsinghua University, Institute of Environmental Medicine in Peking University, China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce as well as the Physics Branch of Architectural Society of China.

Using energy more efficiently is, of course, a crucial part of fighting climate change, since oil and fossil fuels continue to be the most important energy source in the world, including Europe.
