The European Energy Efficiency Conference 2019 will take place from 27 February to 1 March 2019 in the context of the annual World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED) conference. Each year, experts from all over the world come together in Wels/Austria to discuss current research results and successful energy efficiency strategies and policies.

This Inter-laboratory Comparison testing project is one of a series of efficient lighting compliance activities under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)-Global Environment Facility (GEF) en.lighten initiative project “Securing climate change benefits of efficient lighting in Southeast Asia and Pacific economies via MVE capacity building activities”, which is funded by the Australian Government. It was designed in compliance with ISO/IEC 17043, Conformity assessment - General requirements for proficiency testing.

On 8 March 2017, the Vereinigung Österreichischer Kessellieferanten (VÖK), together with the representatives of the Austrian installers and chimney sweepers, presented the “Energy Savings Offensive”, introducing a label for the installed stock of heaters in Austria: the ‘Altgerätelabel’ or label for old appliances. The main objective is to raise people’s awareness about the age of their installed heating appliances and the need for modernisation.
