Energy efficiency topics of the 2019 call of Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 3 – Clean, Secure and Efficient Energy – will be presented in a series of workshops organised by EASME throughout the day.
Registrations are now open until 18 January 2019 or whenever the maximum number of the participants has been reached.
We will not be able to accept additional registrations once the event is full even if this occurs before the registration deadline.

The Horizon 2020 project “guarantEE” is promoting and further developing Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) in the building sector in 14 European countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain) in the years 2016-19.

Based on needs assessments and good practices analysis, the PUBLENEF partners developed policy roadmaps in 12 cities and regions from across Europe to implement energy efficiency pathways towards sustainability. In the frame of the European Week of Regions and Cities, a dedicated conference explored the capacity of local and regional authorities to lead the transition to an energy efficient society.

From 15th May, applications for funding under the 2018-2020 Horizon 2020 Work Programme are open for proposal submission. The total available funding is €56 million.

- LC-SC3-NZE-1-2018: Advanced CO2 capture technologies (budget: €20 m)
- LC-SC3-NZE-2-2018: Conversion of captured CO2 (budget: €12 m)
- LC-SC3-NZE-3-2018: Strategic planning for CCUS development (budget: €3 m)
- LC-SC3-CC-1-2018-2019-2020: Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) aspects of the Clean-Energy Transition (budget: €10 m)

Since 2016 EuroAccess has been a central online information point on EU funding opportunities in the Danube region. Over the time it has proven to be a success, therefore, a decision to extend the website to all four EU macro-regional strategies – the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region, the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region, the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and the EU Strategy for the Danube Region – has been taken.
The updated online platform, covering all four EU macro-regional strategies, was launched on 25th June 2018.

A Trinomics led consortium, on behalf of The European Commission, will be delivering a conference in Brussels on 20 September 2018 on geothermal renewable energy research, development and technologies.
The complimentary conference will provide insights into the impacts of R&D funded through the EU Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation; including providing access to the Geothermal Renewable Energy R&D Impact Report and an opportunity to influence the recommendations to increase future R&D impacts.
