EU funding

From 15th May, applications for funding under the 2018-2020 Horizon 2020 Work Programme are open for proposal submission. The total available funding is €56 million. The topics open for applications are: - LC-SC3-NZE-1-2018:  Advanced CO2 capture technologies (budget: €20 m) - LC-SC3-NZE-2-2018:  Conversion of captured CO2 (budget: €12 m) - LC-SC3-NZE-3-2018:  Strategic planning for CCUS development (budget: €3 m) - LC-SC3-CC-1-2018-2019-2020: Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) aspects of the Clean-Energy Transition (budget: €10 m)

Since 2016 EuroAccess has been a central online information point on EU funding opportunities in the Danube region. Over the time it has proven to be a success, therefore, a decision to extend the website to all four EU macro-regional strategies – the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region, the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region, the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and the EU Strategy for the Danube Region – has been taken. The updated online platform, covering all four EU macro-regional strategies, was launched on 25th June 2018.

A Trinomics led consortium, on behalf of The European Commission, will be delivering a conference in Brussels on 20 September 2018 on geothermal renewable energy research, development and technologies. The complimentary conference will provide insights into the impacts of R&D funded through the EU Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation; including providing access to the Geothermal Renewable Energy R&D Impact Report and an opportunity to influence the recommendations to increase future R&D impacts.

  With this new funding under the "Juncker Plan", the European Investment Bank (EIB) is stepping up its action in favor of the energy renovation of buildings by offering innovative and attractive financing to individuals based on third-party financing through Regional Agency for Energy Saving Works (ARTÉÉ).

The European Commission, as part of the "Smart Finance for Smart Buildings" initiative, is organising a series of “Sustainable Energy Investment Forums” (SEI Forums) aiming to enhance the capacity of and co-operation between public and private stakeholders to develop large-scale investment programmes and financing schemes. These Forums will consist of more than 30 events in up to 15 Member States in 2016-2019.
