  With this new funding under the "Juncker Plan", the European Investment Bank (EIB) is stepping up its action in favor of the energy renovation of buildings by offering innovative and attractive financing to individuals based on third-party financing through Regional Agency for Energy Saving Works (ARTÉÉ).

The European Commission, as part of the "Smart Finance for Smart Buildings" initiative, is organising a series of “Sustainable Energy Investment Forums” (SEI Forums) aiming to enhance the capacity of and co-operation between public and private stakeholders to develop large-scale investment programmes and financing schemes. These Forums will consist of more than 30 events in up to 15 Member States in 2016-2019.

On 30 May 2017, the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) announced that this year, the Energy Information Days will take place from Monday 23 to Wednesday 25 October 2017 in Brussels, Belgium, presenting the new funding opportunities and innovative schemes offered by Horizon 2020’s Work Programme 2018-2020.
