German building ministry offers €11M for building research projects in a new phase of the initiative "Zukunft Bau"
The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB - Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz, Bau und Reaktorsicherheit) and the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR- Bundesinstitut für Bau-, Stadt- und Raumforschung) have started a new phase of the research initiative “Zukunft Bau”. Project proposals should be innovative and can be submitted until 30 November 2017. The total budget for the 2017 phase amounts to 11 million Euros. Topics cover a broad spectrum including cost-efficient residential buildings, energy-efficient, sustainable and climate conscious buildings and benefits for architecture and urban areas.
Since launching the initiative “Zukunft Bau” in 2006 more than 1,000 research projects with nearly 115 million Euros have been supported. A new guideline for project proposals has been published and templates for the proposal documents are available.
