A multinational supermarket in the UK has pledged to source all of its electricity from renewables by 2030 in addition to cutting its emissions by 60 per cent by 2025.
This international retail company has become the 93rd RE100 company to commit to 100 per cent renewable energy targets and will source more than half of its renewable energy 100 per cent target from onsite generation and power purchase agreements (PPAs) with direct suppliers. It has set an interim target to source 65 per cent renewable electricity by 2020.
