This webinar took place 5 March.

The webinar recording is availabre in our YouTube channel and the presentation through this link.

Renovating a building can be complex and time consuming. For building owners, the lack of knowledge about what to do, and in which order to implement renovation measures, is one of the main obstacles to improving the energy performance of their building. The iBRoad project is working on the concept of Building Renovation Passports combining an individual building renovation roadmap (iBRoad-Plan; a step-by-step renovation plan for a specific building), with a repository of building-related information (iBRoad-Log).

With a target focus on residential buildings, the iBRoad project analyses and builds upon relevant examples from Germany, France and Belgium (Flanders), to identify the elements, develop an integrated concept, and produce modular tools, suitable for differing national conditions.

If you want to know more about the iBRoad project and the Building Renovation Passports do not miss the opportunity and watch this webinar in collaboration with Build Up!

The webinar was moderated by Alexander Deliyannis, Sympraxis Team, iBRoad project coordinator, who also introduced iBRoad.

The presentation of the context of the Building Renovation Passport and the first steps towards a breakthrough was given by Maarten De Groote, Buildings Performance Institute Europe (BPIE).

Alice Corovessi, Institute of Zero Energy Buildings (INZEB), was the next one explaining the reflections from the market across Europe.

Afterwards, Lukas Kranzl, Technische Universität Wien (TU Wien), spoke about the individual building renovation roadmap in practice and Martin Pehnt, Institut für Energie- und Umweltforschung Heidelberg (ifeu), about iBRoad in the field and testing the building renovation roadmap in European countries.

To finalise, a brief testimonie from Romania was given by Horia Petran, from INCD URBAN-INCERC.

At the end there was a really fuitful Q&A session.
