Just in time for Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, the Johnson Controls Institute for Building Efficiency is pleased to announce the release of the updated report “Driving Transformation to Energy Efficient Buildings: Policies and Actions, 2nd Edition” – the result of a collaborative partnership with the Business Council for Sustainable Energy, the Center for Clean Air Policy, the U.S. Green Building Council, and the World Green Building Council.

New in this edition is a building efficiency policy assessment tool that provides a simple framework to help decision-makers evaluate policy priorities through dialogue and input from key stakeholders.  This edition also includes new content on private-sector policy priorities that create favorable market conditions for investment in buildings efficiency.  The new content was generated to support policymakers seeking to leverage private-sector capital, technology and services to scale up their efficiency market.

The launch event for the report will be on June 18th at Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Mexico.
