This excerpt from the Renewables Information 2016 report by the International Energy Agency (IEA) contains a summary of the most recent trends in the world and the OECD renewables market.

Renewables Information provides an overview of the development of renewables and waste in the world over the 1990 to 2014 period, offering detailed data by country and by product for OECD, as well as summary tables of non-OECD renewables and waste data. It also includes provisional data for 2015. Although the report focuses on the OECD countries with a review of electricity generation and capacity from renewable and waste energy sources, an overview of developments in the world and OECD renewable and waste market is also presented.

The publication encompasses energy indicators, generating capacity, electricity and heat production from renewable and waste sources, as well as production and consumption of renewables and waste.
