Trust EPC South final workshop: market opportunities and challenges of financing energy efficiency

Share this Post:

The overall objective of Trust EPC South is to scale up investments on Energy Efficiency (EE) and Sustainable Energy technologies in the private tertiary sector of southern European countries, with a particular focus on EPC projects. This objective has been achieved through the development of an ad hoc investment assessment and benchmarking framework building upon an established real estate assessment tool (Green Rating™) and supported with the organization of tailored capacity building activities that has allowed project developers (including ESCOs and other EPC providers), project sponsors and private tertiary sector actors to more easily access third-party financing, thus unlocking the large tertiary sector EE and RES market potential.

The Trust EPC South consortium held its final event, organized within the framework of the European Sustainable Energy Week 2018, in Brussels, Belgium on 5 June 2018.

During the workshop were discussed project’s results about Energy Performance Contracting (EPC), market opportunities in Europe and future challenges of financing energy efficiency.

The event included the presentation of available tools and services to simplify and scale up the energy efficiency and EPC markets.
