The theme of this year’s conference will be Urban Challenges - Sustainable Solutions and will focus on climate change and economic growth, which is linked to that of the Swedish Presidency of the European Union.
The Swedish Presidency of the EU starts on 1 July and the European Commission, led by President José Manuel Barroso, will be in Stockholm on 1 July to mark the event. This is the start of an exciting period during which the Presidency will lead negotiations on climate change and how to tackle the economic downturn amongst other things.
