BITES project Final Conference will summarize the results of the project, the dissemination events organized and the working groups activities, and will present a final set of recommendations containing an action plan to allow significant advances in the adoption of biofuels chains in Europe. The event is addressed to representatives of the biofuel industry, the scientific community, associations and organizations involved in the biofuel policy debate, manufacturers of machinery for agriculture, livestock raising and the agri-industry.
During the last two years (2007-2009), BITES (Biofuels Technologies European Showcase) project has selected, discussed and disseminated the most successful European biofuel initiatives.
BITES project is an initiative funded under the 6th Framework Programme (FP6) of the European Commission, as a Specific Support Action under the Sustainable energy systems action line, Thematic Promotion and Dissemination. It is promoted by 5 national associations, creating a network with more than 600 members representing several regions of the European Union.
The conference will be held on the occasion of the 2009 edition of AGRILEVANTE - International Exhibition of Machinery Plant and Technologies, taking place in Fiera del Levante, Bari (Italy), from the 08th to 11th October 2009. www.agrilevante.eu
Both BITES Final Conference and AGRILEVANTE fair are free of charge events.
Conference languages will be Italian and English. A simultaneous translation will be available.
