Implementation of the EPBD in each European country: Practices, incentives & results

The goal of this event is to assess the progress of the implementation of the Energy Efficiency of Buildings Directive (EPBD) in each European country as well as to compare practices and incentives for building owners and achieved results.

Representatives from the UIPI national members associations will briefly describe:

  • how the implementation of EPBD is organised and actually being accomplished in their countries,
  • how are the building owners supported (subsidies, tax incentives etc.) in each member state in order to be able to upgrade the energy performance of their buildings, and
  • what are the actual results in each country concerning the energy certification and its impact in the real estate market, and the renovation of the existing buildings progress.

In addtion, a presentation will be made on how to convert policy into practice through the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme.

This conference is organised within the framework of the European Sustainable Energy Week and with the kind assistance of the European Economic and Social Council (EESC).
