The CENSE project has just finished and the present work shop will present the main results and relate the knowledge obtain to which revision of the standards are needed. This will also be seen in relation to the just finished revision of the EPBD.

The existing standards have been used very differently in the EU member states. Some has implemented them fully, most have used some of the standards or excerpt of the standards and other are not using the standards at all.

On the other hand there are many groups or organisations that would like to see more harmonized method in Europe for evaluating energy performance of buildings and HVAC systems. This is also the intention of the Commission and some of the revision done with the EPBD.

In this conference the results of the CENSE project in form of suggestions for revision of standards and suggestions on how to use them will be discussed in the light of a revised EPBD.
