Solar Heating and Cooling technologies represent a real and sustainable way to achieve indoor thermal comfort using the sun all year round. The positive trend of Solar Cooling applications in many fields, including industrial cold production, is increasing further and further. EU research and dissemination programmes have strengthened the link between heating and cooling in the application of solar thermal technologies and many private investors are developing technologies aimed for seeking new attractive market niches (i.e. residential and tertiary sectors).

The Fourth International Conference on Solar Air Conditioning follows the two previous and successful conferences held in Tarragona (Spain) in 2007 and in Palermo (Italy) in 2009.

Its goal is to discuss and share advances in the use of solar energy for air conditioning applications by providing a meeting place for all professionals involved in this field - engineers, architects, planners, among others.
