Saved energy is the cheapest energy but energy saving is NOT always CHEAP!\": The upfront costs of saving energy are often underestimated and the pay-back on investment is sometimes difficult to determine. EU Energy saving objectives must be accompanied by a concrete financial plan or they will not be reached. This session will provide an overview of the status quo of the energy efficiency financing framework of the EU and identification of gaps and opportunites.
