The REHVA Conference and 55th annual Meeting is organized by the Estonian Society of Heating and Ventilation Engineers (EKVÜ). The theme of the 2011 conference is „Towards net zero energy buildings“. This issue is directly linked with recast EPBD that will come into force in all European Union member states in 2012. The recast is much more stringent than 2002 version and the implementation call for huge amount of development activities for all market players. besides energy efficiency topics the new trendsregarding the qualitative assessment rating methods for sustainable buildings for Europe are dealt in the conference. The conference brings together an international group of researchers, professionals and practitioners and who routinely improve the energy efficiency, operating costs, and environmental impacts of buildings. The conference is a leading forum for those interested in the continuous advancement in energy efficiency applications.
