It takes a certain amount of energy to create a comfortable indoor climate. Within the HVAC installations, there are mainly two ways to reduce the needed amount of energy in a building:
1. To use just as much energy as instantaneously needed in each and every room by adapting the air flow rates, the amount of cooled and chilled water etc. to the real need = DCV: Demand Controlled Ventilation.
2. The energy that is still used is recovered in the most efficient possible way and reused (heating-, cooling- and humidity recovery) = Energy Recovery.
Since many buildings already have some kind of energy recovery system but only a maximum of 5% of all buildings have a DCV system installation, it is here future measures will be most effective.
Exploring the potential to reduce ventilation costs with Demand Controlled Ventilation (DCV) with speaker Markus Kalo.
