Conference Objective and Philosophical Framework
The International Conference on Sustainable Development is organized by the European Center of Sustainable Development in collaboration with CIT University.
The 7th ICSD 2019 is inspired from the critical challenge of human, environmental, and economic sustainability concerning the present and future generations in a global-scale context.
The Conference venue is: Roma Eventi, Pontifical Gregorian University, Piazza della Pilotta, 4, Rome, Italy

As part of the European Research programme, COST (Cooperation in Science and Technology), since 2017 a network of researchers and experts from industry, academic and technological development organisations have been actively addressing the question of what would a paradigm shift in sustainability in the built environment sector look like. A new paradigm calls for a more comprehensive and holistic approach to sustainability, one that focuses less on energy, but rather on actively contributing to the regeneration and improvement of people, society and planet health.

EcoProcura is an international conference series which has been running for the past twenty years. The long-running series has sought to provide a platform to push the sustainable urban development agenda forward through sustainable, innovative and circular procurement, both from a practical and policy perspective.

The Social Innovation to Tackle Fuel Poverty programme is an initiative co-created by Ashoka and the Schneider Electric Foundation. It aimed to identify and engage 15-20 innovative organisations working in the field of fuel poverty and energy sustainability in five European countries: Germany, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. European Center of Sustainable Development in collaboration with CIT University will organize the 6th ICSD 2018 Rome on Wednesday 12 to Thursday 13 September, 2018.
The 6th ICSD 2018 will be an excellent opportunity to share your ideas and research findings relevant to the Sustainability Science through the European network of academics. Papers will be published in EJSD Journal (Thompson Reuters) and Proceedings.
