This webinar focuses on solutions and strategies for quality (and data) management in new buildings, focusing in particular on the Building Commissioning Process (Cx).
Previous experience has shown the importance of the Building Commissioning Process in delivering energy-efficient and healthy buildings. However, Cx often lacks a proper quality management system and tools to implement it. As a result, there is an opportunity for new tools and methodologies to support quality assurance of the process, which is especially relevant for Nearly Zero-Energy Buildings (NZEB) and beyond.
Following the examples of Northern European Countries (Norway, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands), the interest in quality management is steadily growing but the requests for commissioning services often lack basic information.
This webinar exemplifies the Commissioning Organisation, leadership, scope, activities and the capital required for investment in a quality management process, and informs about efforts to align the Building Commissioning services across country borders. Furthermore, the webinar reviews examples of trial quality management systems on real projects, like the ongoing work by the QUANTUM project to develop a practical quality management process to support the Building Commissioning Process, and the role that Information and Communication Technologies (e.g. BIM and BACS) play within its context, in particular how they can assist in closing the 'performance gap'.
