The Save the Planet exhibition showcases local and foreign companies, who offer products and solutions for waste collection, treatment and utilization. A conference on the same topics will take place parallel to the exhibition. The event is open to representatives of municipalities and government administration, ecologists, investors, managers of companies from the sectors recycling, waste management, agriculture, food and packaging, etc.   The program for the parallel conference will become available on the event website by the end of the year.

iBROAD, the new Horizon 2020 project aiming to explore, design, develop and demonstrate the concept of individual Building Renovation ROADmaps, kicked off  on 3-4 July 2017 in Athens, Greece.   These building renovation roadmaps will serve as a tool outlining deep step-by-step renovation plans with customised recommendations for individual buildings (iBROAD-Plan), combined with a repository of building-related information (logbook, iBROAD- Log).

SAVES2 is a H2020 project that builds on a previous IEE funded project, SAVES, that expanded the Student Switch Off campaign from the National Union of Students in the UK to 4 other EU countries.   The project commenced in May 2017 and will last for 42 months. National Union of Students (UK) is the lead organisation and the consortium incorporates 11 partners from 8 countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, Romania, and the UK).

Il 17 Maggio 2017, un giorno dopo la media cerimonia di apertura, il bulgaro BKH (Centro di Eccellenza per l'Efficienza Energetica e fonti rinnovabili negli Edifici, nel contesto del Treno-NZEB progetto) ospiterà un train-the-trainer del corso a Sofia, in Bulgaria, guidato dall'Arch. Susanne Winkel, Passive House Institute - Darmstadt, In Germania.

People spend up to 90% of their lives indoors, so it is perhaps not surprising that the quality of the environment created has a significant impact on their health and well-being. What is perhaps even more surprising is that the indoor air quality of some buildings, including modern low energy buildings, has been shown to be poorer than urban outdoor air quality.
