The French Minister of Ecology, Energy and Sustainable Development announced the creation of a new National Committee for geothermal energy. The task of this Committee will be to recommend measures in order to develop the use of geothermal energy in France. The Committee has begun to work about three priority issues: simplification of administrative procedures and quality, training of professionals, dissemination of information about geothermal energy. The first recommendations of the Committee shall be presented after summer.
