The European Renewable Energy Council (EREC) has previously called for targets of 45% by 2030. There is clearly a growing recognition that renewables have an absolutely vital role to play in developing a low cost, low carbon, and low waste energy system. The REA will continue to work with its European partners to ensure that the UK Government hears this message.
