The built environment is facing great challenges – challenges that can best be solved through common goals for the second largest industry in Norway. The building sector must be able to make use of knowledge already developed and translate it to everyday use and challenges. The Norwegian Government's first ever white paper on holistic building policies is expected to be launched this year. The Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, Liv Signe Navarsete, has already presented the idea of establishing a common strategy for the construction industry – as one of the instruments to achieve the main objectives in an ambitious building policy.
