Solar panels to illuminate all public buildings in pilot project of two Romanian cities

2012 marks the commencement of a project through which Mizil and Piatra-Neamt will become the first two cities in Romania to have all administrative buildings illuminated through solar panels. The construction of the photovoltaic plant will start this year and is set to end in 2015. The cost of this investment amounts to approximately 11 million Euros, 98% of which is covered by non-refundable EU funds and 2% by the local budget.
