Deadline for the energy certification of German non-residential buildings and public buildings is approaching

From July 1, 2009 also the German non-residential buildings to be let or sold have to present an energy performance certificate. This was fixed in the energy decree of 2007. The same deadline is valid for the energy performance certification of public buildings. Here the certificate has to be posted in a public space. The German Energy Agency (dena) has authorised studies on the ratio of already available certificates for public buildings and non-residential buildings.
