Germany: Record in funding of renewable energies for heat generation in 2009

The German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety has achieved a funding record in the field of renewable energy with its market incentive programme in 2009. The funding has supported the expansion of renewable energy even during the economy crisis and resulted in investments of 3 billion Euro. The KfW-bank could assure 2100 supportive loans amounting to 300 million Euro within the programme.
