Aleksandra Novikova has worked on various issues of sustainable energy development since 1999, participating in research for such organizations as the UNEP and the UNDP, the European Commission, the California Energy Commission, the Hungarian Ministry of Environment and Water, and other international organizations and governmental authorities. Aleksandra holds an MSc and PhD in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Central European University (Hungary) and a BSc in Mathematical Economics from Novosibirsk State University (Russia). She has also been a research scholar at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California. Before joining CPI, Aleksandra worked as a Senior Researcher at the Center for Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Policy of Central European University (Hungary). Aleksandra has published and co-authored almost forty publications and has served as a Lead Author of the Fourth Assessment Report of the Nobel-prize winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and a Lead Analyst of the forthcoming Global Energy Assessment.
