The originality of the Sustainable Bio & Waste Resources project for Construction (SB&WRC) in the framework of the European Interreg Territorial Cooperation Program France (Channel) England lies notably in its method: designing prototypes of building materials based on existing common agricultural waste and co-products that are widely available and underutilized (in the area) within the defined perimeter. In this, the project is directly rooted in the geographic area and in a logic of cross-border cooperation.

The World Energy Council’s Energy Trilemma Index tool, produced in partnership with Oliver Wyman, ranks countries on their ability to provide sustainable energy through 3 dimensions: Energy security, Energy equity (accessibility and affordability), Environmental sustainability. The ranking measures overall performance in achieving a sustainable mix of policies and the balance score highlights how well a country manages the trade-offs of the Trilemma with "A" being the best.   The Energy Efficient Home program entails at “attractive” and sustainable financial mechanism aimed at implementing household energy efficiency measures. The Ministry of Economy has secured EUR 120,000 to subsidize interest rates and fees charged by banks when processing applications for loans to finance the purchase and installation of heating systems using modern types of biomass (pellets, briquettes), thermal insulation, and energy efficient windows and doors.
