This report is one of the deliverables of the International Energy Agency Energy in Buildings and Communities programme (IEA EBC) Annex 57: “Evaluation of embodied energy (eE) and carbon dioxide equivalent emissions (CO2eq) for building construction”. The document was developed by Subtask 1 of the annex, aiming to clarify the connections between actors and targets related to eE and embodied greenhouse gas emissions (eCO2eq) for building construction.

The Energy Efficient Buildings Committee of ECTP is pleased to announce the 6th edition of the EeB PPP Project Review 2017. This yearly publication presents the progress and results of 110 co-funded projects within the EeB PPP under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) for 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and 45 co-funded projects under the Horizon 2020 programme for 2014, 2015 and 2016.

The EU construction industry returned to growth and it seems that this positive signal is not temporary. Increasing values of production in construction sector were already observed in 2015, but the next year was even better. The reason for this trend is significant growth in activity aimed at construction of buildings.

IEA- EBC Annex 57: Evaluation of Embodied Energy and CO2 Equivalent Emissions for Building Construction
The Executive Committee of the International Energy Agency Energy in Buildings and Communities programme (IEA EBC) approved the “IEA-EBC Annex 57: Evaluation of embodied energy and carbon dioxide equivalent emissions for building construction” in 2011. The project was completed in 2016.
