Belgium: impact, compliance and control of legislation

This paper highlights some elements of the energy performance of buildings regulations in Belgium specifically with respect to impact, compliance and control. In Belgium, the implementation of the EPBD is the responsibility of the regions. Therefore, there are 3 different energy performance of buildings regulations. A more general overview of each of the regulations can be found in the previously published Information Papers 67 (Brussels - www.buildup.eu/publications/1253), 68 (Flanders - www.buildup.eu/publications/1345) and 137 (Wallonia - www.buildup.eu/publications/1203).
