Window energy rating: a plea from the fenestration industry

This position paper from the European fenestration industry supports the opinion that an energy rating for windows would help unlock the major energy saving potential of windows by promoting the faster uptake of high performance fenestration solutions. It calls for a concerted effort to replace Europe’s outdated residential windows with existing state-of-the-art products, by implementing a window energy rating and subsequent labeling to communicate to the general public about the energy efficiency properties of efficient fenestration products.
